Chicory is used as substitute of making coffee. Some farmers are cultivating this crop and getting higher earnings. This crop is damaged by darkling beetles, flea beetles, leaf miners, semilooper, thrips and aphids. In all these, aphid infestation causes excessive damage to the crop. For effective management of aphids, install yellow sticky traps. Spray neem oil @ 50 ml per 10 lit of water. On need, spray, Metarhizium, fungus base powder @ 40 g per 10 lit of water.
