This discussion took place in the meeting with Union Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, along with senior officials of Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. In this meeting it was discussed, sugarcane and rice require more amount of water and hence, their cultivation should be practised on the banks of the river and other farmers were advised to cultivate crops that require minimum water such as pigeon pea, with the assistance of Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
