Researchers succeeded in making artificial rubber
Researchers from China have succeeded in making a perfect artificial rubber just like natural rubber, by taking an inspiration from the spider threads of nature. This element of rubber is harder and more lasting. Researchers has the opinion that, comparing its internal structure in state of tension it is more stable, researchers said, in comparison with natural rubber it is very simple for reusing.
Researchers, Yun Xiang Xu and Guangsu Huang from Sichuan University in China have discovered new technique for bringing properties of natural rubber into an artificial rubber. They got this inspiration from the spider network. There is tremendous stability and capability in the spider thread along with the thermal stability. To achieve the same capability like that, a small polymer chain (from the four elements of alanine amino acids) is prepared.
Artificial rubber is efficient and durable like natural rubber. There is no need to do a process of vulcanization on this, which is required in conventional rubber. At the same time, as currently it is not possible to reuse, the waste elements from the rubber waste is increasing rapidly. So this rubber is said to be more profitable.
