The state will receive heavy rainfall till August 10
Pune: The state will receive heavy rains till August 10, the Meteorological Department has predicted. In Marathwada, Vidarbha, most places are forecasted to receive rains between 5th and 10th August and there are signs that drought conditions will improve after the rainfall in these areas. On July 31, there will be heavy rains in Konkan, central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Heavy rains are likely to prevail in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on August 1 and moderate to heavy in Marathwada, Konkan and Mumbai. The monsoon has been active in Konkan and Sahyadri ranges of the state for the past two to three days. From today, the Indian Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in the western mountainous areas of Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts. Source - Pudari, 31 July 19
