The possibility of torrential rains at certain places in the state
Pune: Konkan, Mumbai, West Maharashtra will receive heavy rains for four more days and heavy rains are expected over the next 24 hours in Palghar, Thane and Mumbai area. Heavy rains have been warned over the next four days in Ratnagiri, Raigad district. The Ghat section of Pune, Kolhapur and Satara districts, is likely to receive heavy rainfall at some places. However, In Marathwada, rains will be light.
Head of Pune Meteorological Department, Dr Anupam Kashyapi said that Konkan had received a heavy rainfall at some places on Monday. Precipitation is likely to occur at some places on August 6, 7 and 8. In central Maharashtra, it is expected to receive heavy rains and rains will continue in several places over the next four days. After that, the rainfall will decrease. Heavy rains are expected in some places and are likely to continue for the next two days. Vidarbha will receive light rain on Monday. The current rainfall is likely to last till August 8.
