PM-KISAN: Rs 93,000 crores credited into the account of 11 crore farmers
New Delhi: The Modi government has sent 93,000 crore rupees to the bank account of 11 crore farmers of the country to help in farming. For the first time, the government has given such a huge amount directly to the farmers. This has become possible with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, which was started by PM Narendra Modi in December 2018. Union Agriculture Ministry says that by November this year, the total amount will increase to more than one lakh crore rupees. Because the work of sending money is going on. The special thing is that any farmer can register at any time and start taking benefits. Under this, assistance of Rs 6000 is given annually.
In the last one and half months, 2 thousand rupees have been sent to 8.80 crore farmers. Even during the Corona transition, the amount of this scheme has been credited into farmers accounts. All the money is being sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), so that it is not seen by corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Money is given to all 14.5 crore farmer families of the country, but under this scheme all the verification has not been done. The Modi government has started this scheme so that the income of farmers can increase.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, any adult person whose name is recorded in the Revenue Record can take advantage of this separately. This means that if more than one adult member's name is registered in the document of the same agricultural land, then every adult member can be eligible for separate benefits under the scheme. Even if he is living in a joint family. For this, apart from revenue records, Aadhaar Card and Bank Account Number is required.
