Papaya-Ringspot-Virus-Preventive-Measures
At the outbreak of ringspot disease on papaya crop, new leaves appear yellowish and their shape becomes more prominent and the veins appear darker on the fruit. This viral disease is transmitted by aphids. As a remedy, papaya crop should be sown in February to March. Also, maize or beeswax should be grown on all sides of the papaya crop so that the aphids are attracted to the maize crop. Spray with Nimark @ 2-3 ml or Thiomethoxam @ 0.5 g per litre of water.
