Meteorological Department Forecasts ‘Maha’ Hurricanes
There is a probability of heavy rainfall in South Gujarat from Tuesday to Thursday due to storms. The Meteorological Department has projected that the storm will weaken before entering the coast of Gujarat. On the 4th of November and the 7th and 8th of November heavy rainfall is anticipated in Saurashtra, South Gujarat.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic storm is likely to hit Diu Dwarka on 6th November. Due to the effect of the storm, Vyara in Tapi district received rainfall on Sunday. Farmers are troubled about the loss of paddy crop due to untimely rains. Today, i.e. 4 November, heavy rainfall is expected in Jamnagar, Morbi and Dwarka. The Meteorological Department has also stated, the storm is currently 570 km off the coast of Veraval in Saurashtra and 150 km from Diu. The weather is cloudy in some districts and it is also raining.
