Maharashtra to Witness Heavy Rainfall on November 6-8
From 6 to 8 November, the state of Maharashtra issued severe rain and thundershowers to the north of Konkan and the north-central state due to the cyclone 'Maha.'
Fishermen out of these areas have already been asked to return to the shores, and all district officials have also been told to stay alert. In the midst of Cyclone 'Maha,' the Indian Coast Guard deployed seven ships and two aircraft off the coast of Gujarat to alert fishing boats to the sea and urge them to head to their nearest port.
On Sunday, the IMD reported that the powerful cyclonic storm 'Maha' over the Eastern Central Arabian Sea was heading westward and increasing into a very powerful cyclonic storm at 2.30 pm over the Eastern Central Arabian Sea, 590 Km WSW of Veraval, Gujarat._x000D_
