Kolhapur to Have its First Organic Farming KVK
Kolhapur: The country's first Organic Farming Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) will be opened in Sagadagi Math in Kanheri, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. This will help to promote organic farming and research on this subject. The Central Government approved it a few months ago.
The Central Government currently has 65 acres of land on which organic methods of farming will be taught. Currently, the new Lakhpati Agriculture scheme is being run by Math. Organic farming will be planned in this facility by adding more technical methods.
In order to promote organic farming, the Centre in Kanheri Math approved the proposal of this new institution. Special work will be done under this institute for the farmers of Karveer, Kagal, Chandgarh, Gadhinglaj, Bhudargarh and Azhara taluka. The Center is constantly working to increase organic farming in this taluka.
