Kisan Credit Card will be easily accessible!
Only three documents will be required for the Kisan Credit Card.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) only three documents will be taken. First, by checking the farm papers, the person who has applied for a loan is a farmer or not will be checked and a copy of the papers will be taken. Second, residence certificate, and third, the applicant farmer's affidavit to know that there is no loan in any other any bank. He said the government has asked the banking association not to take any fees for the KCC application.
Currently, the Kisan Credit Card is limited to only about 50% of farmers. There are 14 crore farming families in the country, out of which only seven crore farmers have a Kisan Credit Card, because they have to undergo a complicated process to make it.
If a farmer has land to cultivate, he can take a loan without mortgaging the land. The limit for the same is one lakh rupees; if the amount of the loan exceeds then a guarantor will also be obligatory along with mortgaging the land.
