Follow these Important Steps to Protect your Crops from Unexpected & Unseasonal Rain
Some of Gujarat's northern and Saurashtra regions were affected by unseasonal rainfall due to sudden changes in the atmosphere. In these areas, vegetables such as Chilli, Tomato, Okra, Gourds, and Bajra are usually grown.
Some preventive measures need to be taken urgently to prevent crops from such unseasonal rain.
• Apply 10 kg of Ammonium Sulphate to crops water or muskmelon where immature fruits are on the veins and spray Avtar (Fungicide) with a sticking agent to fight fungal disease.
• In the case of Chilli, flower dropping is very common due to the high velocity of the wind. To avoid this situation, spray Florofix to increase flowering and apply Calcium nitrate fertilizer at 10 kg per acre.
• In crops such as gourds, in uncertain environments, there will be Downy mildew issue; hence, spray Merger (Fungicide) with the sticking agent (Set wet) to control fungal disease.
