New Delhi: Basmati rice is exported to Iran in large quantities from the country. However, for the last two months, basmati rice exports have decreased by half and in local markets, the price of rice has dropped from Rs 20 to Rs 22. More than 60% of basmati rice exports were done to Iran alone.

From there 1121, 1401, 1509 rice along with traditional basmati are sent out of the country. India has stopped importing crude oil from Iran in the wake of months of trade war in the US and Iran.
