Cotton Export Anticipated to Double
According to the Cotton Association of India (CAI), where the reduction in cotton manufacturing is intended to decrease, exports are anticipated to almost double compare to the previous year.
During the current season, 44 lakh bales of cotton were imported from October 1, 2018 to May 31, 2018, while 9.28 lakh bales were imported during this period. Exports are projected to be only 46 lakh bales in the present season, while 69 lakh cotton bales were exported last year. In 2018-19, CAI maintained its cotton manufacturing estimate of 315 lakh bales.
