China wants to import mehndi, tea, chilli from India
New Delhi. Demand for Indian mehndi powder, chilli, tea and drumstick is increasing in China. China is in discussions to import these products from India. Recently, at the Import-Only Fair held in Shanghai, Chinese importers learned a lot about these value-added products.
The Tamil Nadu-based henna exporter received more than Rs 3 crore for the export of mehndi powder at the China International Import Expo held in Shanghai from 5-10 November. An official said a lot of inquiries were made about agricultural products. Orders of a few million dollars were also placed for these products. India has exported $ 200 million of such products between April and September this year. In the first six months of the current financial year, India's exports to China stood at $ 8.5 billion and imports at $ 36.3 billion.
