Need to use fertilizer in a balanced way in agriculture - Agriculture Minister
New Delhi: There is a need to increase the share of agriculture sector in the country's GDP from the present 14%to 50%, for this it is necessary to use manure in agriculture in a balanced way. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that soil health and the use of the right amount of manure helps to increase the productivity of crops. In the conference organized in Delhi for awareness of fertilizer use among farmers, he said that fertilizers should be used in appropriate quantity for production and productivity of Kharif as well as Rabi crops, and fertilizing according to soil conditions. He said that farmers' income will also increase with the balanced use of fertilizers. He said that excessive use of fertilizers causes damage to the micronutrients of the farm. There is a greater need for micronutrients to improve soil health.
