Over the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain
The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall over the next two days in northern India. According to the meteorological department, low pressure in the central region of Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi will receive heavy rains in the next 24 hours. Also, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar are likely to receive heavy rainfall over the next 2 days. Talking about Gujarat, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in Ahmedabad, South Gujarat, North Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch over the next 24 hours. The state received an average rainfall of 88.49% this year as compared to the previous year. The highest rainfall was 4 inches in June, 9 inches in July and 15.5 inches in August. Thus, the average rainfall of the season is 29 inches.
