Farmers' income will increase by adopting modern technology
Farmers can increase income by adopting modern techniques in farming. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Fisheries, emphasized on agricultural mechanization to increase farmers' income.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) organized a workshop in collaboration with MSMEs to promote and develop agricultural and rural enterprises at the National Agricultural Science Center campus. On this occasion, Sarangi urged farmers to adopt new technologies in agricultural technologies developed by scientists and also inspired farmers to adopt organic farming.
Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General of ICAR, emphasized that agricultural mechanization will help in doubling the income of farmers as it reduces cost, time and labour, thereby increasing agriculture Productivity. He said that ICAR is committed to working towards modern mechanization of farming.
