58th longest monsoon in Gujarat, winter will start from November 15
Ahmedabad: The monsoon has started to depart from Gujarat. This has been the longest monsoon for Gujarat in 58 years since 1961. Gujarat has received 142% rainfall this season with 45.60 inches. According to the meteorological department, monsoon has started from north-west India. The monsoon departure from the state has also begun from October 10. Winter will start from November 15 in Gujarat. The morning and night will be cold, and afternoons will be hot. In the next three days, the mercury in Ahmedabad can cross 37 degrees. Gujarat currently has north-west to the north wind direction. The next two days may receive light rains in Dahod-Dang-Valsad, Navsari, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Junagadh.
More than 40 inches of rain fell in 118 talukas
According to the zone, Kutch recorded the highest rainfall around 178%, 118% in north Gujarat, 129% in central Gujarat, 150% in Saurashtra and 145%in south Gujarat. If you look at the figures, more than 40 inches of rain has been recorded in 118 talukas, 20 to 40 inches in 126 talukas and 10 to 20 inches of rain in 7 talukas. 4.27 inches in June, 8.75 inches in July, 17.56 inches in August. It has recorded 13.31 inches in September and 1.70 inches in October so far.
